Infrastructure

Earthworks, roads, water, drainage and sewage networks — the civil works that make a site work, delivered with materials and precast products from our own plants.

Infrastructure at AQL

Before a building rises and long after it is finished, infrastructure connects it: roads to reach it, networks to serve it and drainage to protect it.

We carry out civil and infrastructure works for residential compounds, industrial zones and public projects — on their own or as part of a building contract.

The materials come from our own operations: aggregates from our screeners, concrete from our batching plants and sewage manholes from our own factory. That shortens supply chains on works where delays spread across the whole site.

Our infrastructure works

Civil works around, under and between buildings — from the first excavation to the final surface.

Earthworks and site preparation

Clearing, excavation, filling and compaction, levelling and platforms ready for construction.

Roads and paving

Internal roads, base and sub-base layers, kerbs, interlock paving and parking areas.

Water supply networks

Distribution pipelines, valves, chambers and house connections for compounds and industrial zones.

Drainage and stormwater

Stormwater lines, gullies, culverts and channels that keep sites and roads clear of water.

Sewage networks and manholes

Gravity sewer lines with reinforced manholes manufactured in our own factory.

Retaining walls and concrete structures

Retaining walls, box culverts, chambers and foundations for utilities and equipment.

How we deliver infrastructure works

  1. 1

    Survey and setting out

Site survey, levels and setting out from the approved drawings, with existing services identified before digging.

  2. 2

    Earthworks and base layers

Excavation, filling and compaction in layers to the levels and specification of the project.

  3. 3

    Networks and structures

Pipelines, manholes, chambers and concrete structures installed in sequence with the earthworks.

  4. 4

    Paving and reinstatement

Road layers, kerbs and paving finished, and every disturbed area reinstated.

  5. 5

    Commissioning and handover

Networks flushed and put into service, with as-built records handed over with the works.

Precast products and materials from our own factories

Infrastructure works depend on materials arriving on time and in the right quantities. We produce many of them ourselves, which keeps our sites moving and our quality consistent.

  • Reinforced sewage manholes made in our factory
  • Ready-mixed concrete from our batching plants
  • Sand and crushed stone from our screening plants
  • Large water tanks for storage and site supply

Questions about infrastructure works

Do you take infrastructure works on their own, without the buildings?

Yes. We take infrastructure packages on their own — for example roads and networks for a compound or an industrial zone — or as part of a full construction contract.

Can you supply the manholes and materials for another contractor?

Yes. Our manholes, ready-mixed concrete, sand and crushed stone are also available as supply only. See Supply & Manufacturing for details.

What do you need to give a price?

The drawings or bill of quantities, the site location and the required programme. We will come back with a scope, a programme and a price.

Need roads, networks or site works?

Send us the drawings or the bill of quantities and the site location. We’ll come back with a programme and a price.
